Somerset House is a great one to look towards for affordable exhibitions. This Guy Bourdin exhibition that showcases photos, paintings, and snippets of film, was £9, and what a lovely way to spend a midweek evening!
The Parisian photographer, born in the 1920s, was a fashion photographer, groundbreaking in his era for looking outside the box, bringing thought and narrative to fashion shoots, as well as sex and a dark side.
There was a good deal of content to the exhibition, I’d make sure you give it an hour, and more if you have a special interest. And get this, you don’t have to drink, spend too much dosh, or lose out on sleep, what a refreshing outing!
The Image Maker exhibition is on until 15 March, people who love fashion photography and shoes should definitely get on down!
